Land Registry will be introducing a brand new legal form ST5 at the end of June (29th). The new form will act as a statement of truth in support of an application to cancel a Form A restriction.
Before cancelling a restriction in Form A in the proprietorship register, the Land Registry must be satisfied that the restriction is no longer required. This will often be because the land is no longer subject to a trust. A trust of land exists when the formal ownership of the land is separated from the underlying ownership.
The Land Registry has confirmed there will be a new edition of the practice guide 73: statements of truth and updates to guidance on joint property ownership to take into account the introduction of the new the legal form ST5.
The new form is available in FormEvo now and is for use from 29 June 2015 but not before.
The new Legal form’s full title is ST5 – Statement of truth in support of an application to cancel a Form A restriction. See a preview here:- preview of legal form ST5
