The Law Society's conveyancing form CON29DW has been amended. The Law Society worked in consultation with the Drainage and Water Searches Network (DWSN).
The Law Society confirmed that the updated CON29DW form has been implemented by the water companies over the past couple of months with the aim of all companies using the updated CON29DW by 4 July 2016.
This new edition will coincide with the implementation of the updated CON29 and CON29O forms which are also for use from 4 July 2016.
The key changes are the inclusion of details on private pumping stations impact of sustainable drainage systems (SUDs) on newly adopted sewerage networks removal of water quality information, as this is not property specific.
This information will still be available on individual water companies' websites provision of water hardness information.
The DWSN has published a briefing note which aims to explain the changes to the form and what conveyancers should be aware of.
